Call for PapersOverview:This conference provides a forum for resource managers, their cooperators, and other interested parties in the western Great Lakes region to exchange information about natural and cultural resource research and management activities at parks and other protected areas. Call for Papers: For abstracts of research and natural or cultural resource projects applicable to National Park Service units and other natural areas of the western Great Lakes region or in the upper Midwest. We will host two days of presentations (20 minutes with 5 minutes for Q/A) and posters of research and applied management projects. Abstracts should clearly articulate study objectives, methods, results, and major findings/recommendations. Abstracts should be one page or less and include all author’s names and affiliations. Be sure to include preference for oral or poster presentation. Submit abstracts to Stella Collier colli552@umn.edu . Abstracts were due February 22, 2008. Authors will be notified of acceptance by February 29. Logistics: The conference will be held on the Northern Michigan University campus in Marquette, Michigan. We will begin 8:00, Tuesday, April 1 and end at noon, Wednesday, April 2, 2008.
