Project Abstract: The purpose of this project is to understand current genetic diversity of the Pitcher Plant (Sarracenia purpurea). Populations will be studied in order to better understand conservation and restoration needs for this species. Flow patterns will be examined to help implement restoration plans throughout its range. Collection sites for seeding projects, genetic diversity of current populations, and population size will be determined from information gathered from this project.
