Project Abstract: Project purpose is to conduct applied research to meet the following objectives: 1) Explore agency personnel and local community members' perceptions of trust between public land management agencies and communities. 2) Examine the expectations intrinsic to trusting relationships between agencies and communities. 3) Identify factors that promote or hinder the production and maintenance of trust between local community members and agencies. 4) Establish ways in which agencies can build and sustain trust between local community members and agencies.
