Project Abstract: The purpose of this project is to research relationships between climate change and forest productivity.  The Forest Service is responsible for project coordination and oversight and joint responsibility for data collection, processing, analysis, and reporting.  The Forest Service’s interest in this project is to acquire information on the long-term impact of climate change on regional forest productivity.  The UMN is jointly responsible for data collection, processing, analysis, and reporting.  The University of Minnesota’s interest in this project is to provide the expertise to advance understanding of long-term impacts of climate change on productivity.  The Forest Service’s and the UMN’s mutual benefit and interest are to share results with the broader research and policy communities.
